「那裡十二間舖，起碼有八間是印刷舖。」──光華印務任師傅憶述昔日永利街。然而印刷舖的身影並不止於此，曾經的中環街頭巷尾，幾乎都能聽見印刷機的運轉聲。
如今城市重建，一幢幢新樓宇拔地而起。曾經以老店林立、新舊交融聞名的中上環，還剩下多少舊日痕跡？這次城市文化導賞將由印刷業角度出發，從1840年代開始細說中環。我們將追溯中文鉛活字的誕生和發展，並一同尋找區內碩果僅存的印業痕跡，探索印刷師傅當年的行走路線，重構印刷舖成行成市的景象。

"There were twelve shops there, and at least eight of them were printing shops." Master Yam of Kwong Wah Printing Company recalls the old Wing Lee Street. But back then, the presence of printing shops was not limited to this area—the clatter of printing presses once filled the streets and alleys of Central.
Fast forward to today, with urban redevelopment reshaping the cityscape, how many traces of the past still remain in the Central district? Join us on a cultural city tour as we travel back to the 1840s and explore Central through the story of the printing industry. From the birth of the Chinese lead type to the few remaining traces of printing shops, we will walk the routes local pressmen once took and rediscover the streets that were once alive with the rhythm of printing presses. Don’t miss this chance to uncover the hidden history of the city!
